uKids are always looking to recruit some of the most motivated, enthusiastic, child minded staff in the business. We are looking for playworkers, deputy's and club managers that have a buzz for making children love their time at wrap around clubs and holiday clubs.
You will need to enjoy working in a team and will bring with you a smile on your face and a passion for creating an enriched environment where children can flourish.
We require all staff to be able to obtain a clear DBS check before starting work.
What do I need to work for uKids?
We welcome staff from all walks of life but it is desirable to have:
Experience working in the childcare industry
A Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Safeguarding Training
Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification
Prevent Training
What will I be doing?
We have a range of roles at each of our breakfast, after school and holiday club provisions.
Club Manager
The manager will take full responsibility for the day to day running of the club. They will be a strong leader that is able to get the most out of their team. They will display fantastic people skills where they can work effectively with children, staff, parents and the head office team. The manager, after training, will understand the booking system to a good level allowing us to run our clubs with the focus on the children, not the admin! We expect our manager to help us develop a strong link between the schools we work in aswell as having an overview on any SEN or vulnerable children.
Deputy Manager
As a deputy you will work closely with the manager and the playworkers. You will have a responsibility to help and assist playworkers to develop as well as helping with day to day management tasks. The deputy will be confident bringing new ideas to the club to ensure we are offering a varied provision where children stay engaged.
Playworker
Playworkers will be responsible for the day to day care of the children. Playworkers will be very hands on with the children, helping them to develop emotionally, physically and socially. We look for playworkers that have initiative and will be proactive when it comes to their work. As well as bringing some great ideas to the team, the playworkers will be asked to lead small group sessions such as arts and crafts activities or outdoor games.
